Looking for people to test a mobile app for Lightroom that I am working on. The app, Control Room, brings some of Lightroom’s development and library management controls and functionality to a mobile app. With Control Room an Android or iOS device can function as an external control panel for editing and managing photos within Lightroom, remotely. I am now ready to test all platforms (not just Android+Mac). The mobile app and LR plugin can now support Android or iOS w/Lightroom on Mac or Windows. So I am looking for people to test any combination of iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. Keep in mind that the application is unfinished and may have bugs, performance issues, and the design isn’t fine-tuned. So don’t expect a finished product, I’m looking for constructive feedback. The Windows plugin is the newest and least thoroughly tested component. As of now, with the app, you can: • Make development adjustments via sliders and entry fields. • This now includes the following development panels: Basic, Tone, Mixer, and Detail • More development panels will follow. • Apply your Lightroom presets to photos. • Rate photos, add photos to rapid collection, flag photos, and navigate between photos. • All changes are reflected in realtime between the app and Lightroom. Basic Requirements: • Adobe Lightroom 6 or CC (Unfortunately, necessary Adobe SDK features are only made available in 6+) • macOS or Windows • Android 4.4+ or iOS 9.3+ To enroll, just fill out this form and I will send you the details. (If you are already testing it from last time, can you please fill out the form anyway to make it easier to keep track of everyone). Feel free to ask any questions or make suggestions! For me, the benefits are that it does hide the control panels on the monitor. I'm often using a laptop screen so the more free real estate the better. Secondly, maybe I'm just slower with a mouse than others but, it does speed up editing. Thirdly, for me, I find it more fun using an external touchscreen. It gives it a more tactile feeling to move the sliders. Though, it's obviously not as tactile as midi-controller. (I'm well aware that as the creator I'm less inclined to find fault in my creation:) ) It's true that it may not be useful for everyone. Best typing programs for mac.
